Thanksgiving, such a glorious holiday of gluttony. For humans, anyway. Many things that appear on your Thanksgiving table range from “maybe not the best choice” to “could be fatal” for your dog(s). Did you know that emergency vets see more dogs for pancreatitis on Thanksgiving than any other day of the year? It’s that tempting fatty turkey carcass. Mmm.
Anyhow, there are lots of ways to help your favourite pet celebrate the holiday without pushing their bellies over the edge (or worse). Most pets like some plain pumpkin or pumpkin-flavoured dog treats, or you might choose to remove the skin from some turkey and offer a few morsels. The key is to not overdo it!
